Apply for New Voter Card
open_in_newECI PortalAny Indian citizen who has attained the age of 18 years on the qualifying date can enroll as a voter by submitting Form 6 online or offline.
Steps to Register:
- Open ECI portal link above and register an account using mobile/email.
- Select Fill Form 6 for new voter registration.
- Enter personal details, family members list, and address.
- Upload passport photo (sized exactly to specs, see Tab 4), Age Proof, and Address Proof.
- Submit and save the generated Reference Number to track status.
Corrections & Name Shifts
open_in_newOpen Form 8Form 8 is used for: 1) Correction of entries in existing roll (Name, Age, DOB, Photo, EPIC No), 2) Shifting of residence to a different constituency, 3) Replacement of lost/damaged EPIC card.
Instructions:
- Log in to the Voter Service Portal and select Fill Form 8.
- Choose whether correction is for Self or Other elector.
- Select the correction category (e.g. Correction of Entries).
- Tick the field you want to correct (e.g., Name) and upload supporting proof (Aadhaar, Gazette notification, or Secondary marksheet).
- Submit and note the reference ID.
Search Your Name in Electoral Roll
searchStart SearchConfirm that your name is present in the current voter list and find details about your polling station, Assembly Constituency, and polling booth.
Option A: Search by Details: Enter Name, Relative Name, DOB, Gender, District and Assembly Constituency.
Option B: Search by EPIC (Voter ID No): Choose state, enter EPIC number printed on front of your card, and captcha.
Option C: Search by Mobile: Verify using OTP on mobile linked to voter ID.
Voter Card Photo Sizing Specifications
Uploading an incorrect image dimensions or file size will lead to automatic application rejection by the ERO.
Photo Rules:
- Background must be clean white or light gray.
- Faces must occupy 70-80% of the photograph area.
- Neutral expression, eyes open and looking straight at the camera.
- Ensure no shadows on face or background.
