Image DPI Converter
Change the print resolution (DPI metadata) of your images client-side.
Why is DPI important?
Many Indian government portals (such as **NSDL/UTIITSL PAN Card**, **Staff Selection Commission (SSC)**, and **Passport Seva**) enforce strict verification rules on document uploads. If your image resolution metadata does not match their required density (usually **200 DPI** or **300 DPI**), the system will reject the upload. This tool modifies the metadata tags inside your JPEG or PNG file directly in your browser without changing your image content or uploading your files.
Upload your image (JPG or PNG).
Choose a target DPI Preset (e.g., 200 DPI or 300 DPI).
Click "Convert DPI & Download" to save the modified image.

Mandates photo and signature to be scanned at exactly **200 DPI**. Photos must be 2.5 x 3.5 cm and signatures 2.0 x 4.5 cm.
Generally requests photos at **300 DPI** or higher. Rejection rate is extremely high if DPI tags indicate lower density like 72 DPI.
Scanned document uploads require **300 DPI** resolution to ensure readability.
